Russell Acord-Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival

Come see Russell Acord at the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival!

Russell Victor Acord wears many hats: researcher, author, filmmaker, keynote speaker, talent manager, and TV personality. Despite his demanding full-time role in the Nuclear industry, he finds time to pursue his passions as an author and filmmaker. One notable venture was his involvement in the Travel Channel's 'Expedition Bigfoot,' where he collaborated with fellow researchers to bring a new level of professionalism to the field of Bigfoot research.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Russell's life took a pivotal turn when his family relocated to the picturesque landscapes of Montana during his childhood. His deep love for Montana's natural beauty serves as a driving force behind his work, particularly his book set in the Bitterroot Mountains, where he spent his formative years. Although he doesn't have a personal encounter with Bigfoot to share, his enthusiasm for the subject fuels his commitment to researching and following up on leads.

After completing grade school in Corvallis, Montana, and high school in Arlee, Montana, Russell embarked on a journey to find his path, always returning to the familiar embrace of Montana's scenery. Along the way, he developed a profound interest in the culture of Bigfoot and meticulously analyzed the consistent themes in numerous tales, laying the groundwork for his book.

Russell's sense of patriotism led him to enlist in the Army, where he experienced both the highs and lows of military life, witnessing diverse cultures and countries during his service. Despite his desire for a full military career, medical issues necessitated an honorable discharge. However, the military provided him with a college education, which he pursued diligently, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a major in Safety and Health Management.

Despite the demands of his career, Russell persisted in his writing endeavors, completing the first installment of his trilogy in 2012 and subsequently releasing 'Bigfoot and the Tripwire' in 2016. His life philosophy revolves around hard work, dedication, and a belief in the undiscovered possibilities of the world. He remains optimistic about the potential for tangible evidence of Bigfoot, whether it's discovered in his lifetime or remains a subject of ongoing search and speculation.

Russell's participation in 'Expedition Bigfoot' underscores his dedication to unraveling one of the world's greatest mysteries alongside esteemed colleagues. His multifaceted experiences, coupled with his unwavering passion, make him a compelling figure in the realm of Bigfoot research and beyond.
