Zeb Ross

Zeb Ross, a machinist by profession and a clogger by passion, will take the stage this Saturday, May 4th, 2024 in Townsend, TN at the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival at 12:30 p.m. His performance promises an exhilarating blend of square dance routines, line dancing, and even an interactive broom dance where the audience gets to join in.

Zeb's journey to fame took an unexpected turn when videos of his electrifying dance moves went viral on TikTok and Instagram last year. One particular clip, set to the beats of "I'm a Thug" by Trick Daddy and shared by Eggs Tyrone, skyrocketed to over a billion views worldwide.

But Zeb's connection to dance runs deep. Inspired by his mother's love for dance, he took his first steps in rhythm even before he was born. Raised on a diet of bluegrass and old-timey music, Zeb honed his skills in flat-footing and buck dancing under his mother's guidance.

With the formation of the J Creek Cloggers in 2009 by his mother, Kim Ross, Zeb found a platform to showcase his unique style of "country clogging." Together with 25 other members, spanning generations from 12 to 78 years old, they travel across the United States, sharing their love for dance and preserving traditional styles like freestyle square dance, flat-footing, and buck dancing.

For Zeb, dance isn't just about the performance; it's about connecting with people and sharing the rich history behind each step. He's not just a dancer; he's an educator, enlightening audiences on the nuances between clogging and tap dancing, emphasizing the distinctiveness of their buck tap/jingle tap shoes and the rhythmic precision of their movements.

Zeb's style is a fusion of influences, blending elements of "country clogging," "crip walking," and "shuffling" into a captivating spectacle that leaves audiences mesmerized. With his magnetic stage presence and infectious energy, Zeb Ross is more than just a dancer; he's a living embodiment of the joy of dance.
