Unveiling the Mysteries with Heather Moser at the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference

Get ready for the 6th annual Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference, an event that promises an unforgettable experience for Bigfoot enthusiasts and anyone curious about the mysteries of the unknown. This incredible event, supported by our amazing sponsors, is more than just a gathering—it's a journey into the world of Bigfoot and cryptozoology. With vendors and sponsors offering a variety of Bigfoot and cryptozoology gear, there's something for everyone. Mark your calendars for July 27, 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Doors open at 9 am, and while the event is open to the public, advance tickets are recommended as they sell out quickly.

One of the highlights of this year’s conference is the appearance of Heather Moser, a distinguished classics professor, author, and researcher with a profound connection to the enigmatic landscapes of Appalachia. Growing up in such a culturally and historically rich area ignited Heather’s passion for folklore, myths, and supernatural tales, guiding her toward a career that beautifully intertwines the academic with the mystical.

A Journey Through Folklore and the Paranormal

Heather Moser is a pivotal figure in the world of paranormal research and storytelling. As a producer and researcher for "Small Town Monsters," a production company renowned for its captivating documentaries on cryptids, paranormal phenomena, and folklore across America, Heather has been instrumental in bringing lesser-known stories to light. Her work bridges the gap between forgotten tales and a broader audience eager to delve into the mysteries of the unknown.

In addition to her work with "Small Town Monsters," (see below) Heather is an ongoing contributor to the Weird Writer blog for the Into the Fray Radio podcast. Her insightful writings explore the intricate relationships between folklore elements from various cultures and time periods, offering readers a chance to engage with stories that have shaped human understanding of the mystical and supernatural.

Heather’s expertise and enthusiasm extend to "The Caravan, Library of Lore" podcast, where she serves as a co-host and blog writer. This podcast is a haven for those fascinated by the lore of the strange and unexplained, and Heather’s contributions enrich the discussions and explorations of each episode.

Adventures in the Paranormal

Heather’s love for adventure and the paranormal extends beyond her professional work. She enjoys exploring haunted locations with her friends at Hometown Paranormal, immersing herself in the eerie and unexplained. These expeditions not only fuel her passion but also provide valuable insights and experiences that enhance her research and storytelling.

Small Town Monsters: A Legacy of Strange Tales

"Small Town Monsters" began as an independent film series exploring lost and bizarre history around the United States. Founded by Seth Breedlove following the 2015 release of "Minerva Monster," the series focuses on small-town folklore, telling stories through the words and experiences of residents and witnesses. Over the years, the STM crew has released over twenty films, several investigative series, web series, podcasts, and a membership platform with exclusive content. In 2022, Small Town Monsters Publishing was added, publishing books on a variety of topics by handpicked authors. The STM team also attends events throughout the year to screen their movies and share these strange tales.
